PURPLE YAM exists to establish itself as a grassroots platform — globally recognized but originating out of the East Coast — with three key objectives:

  • ELEVATE the consciousness of the Filipinx-American community through thoughtful conversations and creative expressions

  • PROMOTE and progress the cohesion and visibility of the Filipinx-American community

  • COMMUNICATE the distinct intersection between Filipinx and American identity/culture, and how it affects the individual and society
